Girl Scouts "Forever Green" Project

My Old Town :: Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts from across Central Florida recently pitched in to help “green up” Old Town in Kissimmee. Dozens of girls and adult volunteers have been planting flower beds, laying down mulch and painting at the popular adventure park throughout July. The partnership with Old Town is part of Girl Scouts’ “Forever Green” project to help improve the environment and protect natural resources. Old Town will honor the scouts in August with a special ceremony.

Troop 7536 Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors help add to Old Town’s new look by picking up trash, planting flowers and laying mulch. The project, taking place at the Kissimmee adventure park throughout July, is part of the Girl Scouts Forever Green program to improve the environment and protect natural resources. Old Town in Kissimmee is getting a new look this month, thanks in part to local Girl Scouts. The students are helping with planting, mulch replacement and painting at the Adventure Park as it welcomes new attractions.
